Maharishi Amara

Maharishi Amara was a personification of humility and majesty. He was from Brahma Loka and so he was a powerful specialist of the mind.
Maharishi Amara was born in a royal family on February 1, 1919. At a young age, he learnt the higher aspects of sadhana in just three years under the direct tutelage of Vishvamithra Maharishi. At the age of 12, he was inducted as a Rishi Worker. Since then, he tirelessly worked under the Rishis. Amara means ‘Eternal’; so also his teachings. Amara was unassuming and lived life as an ordinary person.
Amara worked incessantly in both the physical and astral realms. At the physical level, he initiated members, held weekly classes, and anchored energies at the houses of meditators and temples. And he taught meditations as pure science, as taught by Rishis of Vedic age. Under his guidance, many attained Mukthi.
He shunned publicity of any sort and guided his students on a one-on-one basis. He redefined spirituality in simple terms. He was an avatar but called himself humbly as ‘Worker of Rishis’. In spite of his gigantic personality, he always insisted on being human first and divine later. Amara had more knowledge on any field of science than other eminent scientists of his time. He had special faculties which he used only at the time of Rishis’ work.
Maharishi Amara was a personification of humility and majesty. He was from Brahma Loka and so he was a powerful specialist of the mind. At the astral level, he took up projects of any corner of the Universe. His astral travels are innumerable, and his astral works are expansive and challenging. We cannot even imagine the depth and volume of his work. He could travel astrally and enter any dimension or lokas. He walked with the mortals, talked with Gods and lived in many realms at the same time. Furthermore, he attended even small works allotted to him with total surrender and followed the instructions of the Rishis to the last letter.

Amara left his mortal body on August 25, 1982 to attend to the urgent call of duty from another part of the cosmos. He uttered his Guru’s name ‘Vishvamithra’ before closing his mortal eyes.
